Yackle Ball Rules

Team Play: The object of the game is to cross the goal line to score a point. The team with the highest number of points in the allotted time wins the game. Call of a color toss off decides starting team.

An equal number of players on each team. Each team has same color shirt or a band for easy identification. A player from each team competes in Yackling for the highest number of color repetitions on the ball. The winning player starts the game from the center circle. Starter player either yackles the ball to advance down the field or can pass it to a team member. There are two allowed methods of yackling: two handed yackling (beginner level) or one handed only (for the advanced game).

Similar to basketball- running or walking is not allowed without yackling, this is called roving.

If a violation is found the other team takes possession of the ball at the location the violation occurred. Similar to soccer the other team immediately starts playing towards their goal line on the opposite side of the field.

Violations: Roving
While yackling or receiving the ball it is dropped
Player runs or throws the ball outside of the side boundary.

All players must stay an arms length away from the player with the ball. The other team can gain possession of the ball while it is airborne. A goal is scored once a player crosses the goal line defined as the end of the field either by receiving the ball past the line or crossing their line while yackling.

There is no contact of players in this game. Any contact will result in a foul and the player committing the foul must sit out for time out of 5 minutes.
